More than 400 people took the opportunity earlier this month to grab babywear bargains and check out the Olivia’s Place warehouse, raising more than $1200 in the process.
“I think people were really blown away by the size of our operation,” said Kirsten Finger, Olivia’s Place co-founder.
“We’ve got dozens of prams, car seats, cots, baby clothes and other items to support young families who might not otherwise be able to afford them,” said Mrs Finger.
“Seeing it all laid out in the warehouse is quite impressive.”
Children enjoyed a reptile and small animal show and a jumping castle, while Warragul Rotary provided a sausage sizzle and Acoustic Reprise provided music. Jessica O'Donnell, the federal labour candidate for Monash, and Gary Blackwood, the State Member for Narracan, both took time out to tour the warehouse.
“All up, the community contributed $1,240 to support our work, which we are so grateful for,” said Mrs Finger.
“The money and goods that the community donates makes such a difference to mums and dads who are trying to find their way through pregnancy and the challenges of having a newborn baby.”
