Gippsland businesses show support to local families through support of Olivia’s Place

Six Gippsland businesses have already signed up to a new patron partner program supporting the work of Olivia’s Place. The Warragul-based organisation launched its Patron Partner Program in November, and we’re looking for six more businesses to join.

“Small businesses in Baw Baw and Latrobe have always been so generous in their support of Olivia’s Place – we don’t have regular government funding, so these are incredibly valuable and meaningful partnerships” said Kirsten Finger, Olivia’s Place co-founder. “Our new Patron Partner Program provides a limited number of businesses with a generous sponsorship package, as well as the opportunity to support families in the local community.”

Mrs Finger said the new program provided greater funding predictability for Olivia’s Place. “With no recurrent funding, our income can fluctuate. The Patron Partner Program provides more certainty, which in turn allows us to plan more effectively.”

The program also features gift-in-kind partners, who provide valuable corporate support in areas such as printing, phones and internet, and IT infrastructure.

Olivia’s Place supports mums and dads throughout pregnancy, birth, and through their baby’s first 12 months of life.

Simonds Homes was one of the first patron partners to sign on to the new program. "We are a family orientated company, so we are thrilled to support Olivia's Place in 2020,” said Jamie Power, Senior Sales Executive at Simonds Homes. "What this organisation does for local families is unparalleled and vital for our community. We are extremely proud to be involved."

Viatek is a gift-in-kind supporter that provides printing and office services for Olivia’s Place. "Viatek is a family-owned Australian business, and we're focused on giving back to the communities we operate in," said Paul Lecher, Branch Leader of Viatek Warragul. "We are proud to support Olivia's Place and believe strongly in the vital work the organisation does to help families within our community."
